For my His3575 course, Public History: Intro to the Field, we had a final assignment using StoryMap to present a significant historical event, site, or person from the area where each student was born. For my assignment, I chose Earl Scruggs from Flint Hill, North Carolina, and I delved into his lifelong bluegrass career and the impact Scruggs has on bluegrass even today. 

The StoryMap primarily consists of pictures and videos from various digital archives, utilizing the map aspect of the website to follow Scruggs’ career, specifically as he traveled through his home state, North Carolina.
